Volition debuted the LEO exosuit at E3 “a robotic suit armed with powerful weapons, but its greatest strength appears to be its ability to crash through structures with little effort. Darius’ Nano-Forge, weapons, and armor are all upgradeable, allowing him to improve their efficiency, unlock new abilities, and change their appearance. The Nano-Forge will also have an ability called Impact, which releases a mighty force capable of blowing away structures and knocking enemies off their feet. Darius’ father has programmed the tool to reverse any destruction to artificial objects. The Mason family’s Nano-Forge reappears, having been passed down through two generations.
Darius, the main protagonist, fires the Magnet Gun at one object, then at another, and the first object rockets toward the second. The player must reclaim cultist fortifications on the planet’s disaster-ravaged surface, defend colonists from hostile Martian creatures in the ancient mines and chasms beneath it, and clean all structures of infestations. The Red Faction: Armageddon is concerned with destructible environments.
